To expand the steel silo life, please notice the following advice:
1.Check the inside wall of steel silo to confirm if there is any part deformation, also check the bolt connection, once find the bolt fall off, take action immediately.
2.When steel silo is empty after discharging grain, check the silo’s air-tightness, the door and steel plate around door, also check if the stiffener is good or not, then take precautionary measure according to actual condition. At the same time, check the connection part, welding and surface of the cone bucket, once find any welding deformation or cracking, steel silo is forbidden to storing grain.
3.Check if upper ring, hole and other bolt connection is well or not, if the bolt is fixed and the shim is good or not. Once find any damage, do maintenance right now.
4.Check the silo body welding each half year and repair welding for the deformation part, and do anti-corrosion processing for the corrosion part. The welding steel silo have good air-tightness, thick wall, good strength, so the height of silo could be higher and the lifespan if more long. Generally for the port project, user prefer to bolted steel silo for it’s high air-tightness.
