Methods of storing hot wheat in silo: spreading the wheat under sun in the sunny day with high temperature, and keep the wheat up to 50℃ for 2 hours, at the same time, the wheat moisture will be reduced under 12.5%, then pick up the bulk wheat into steel silo and keep the steel silo sealed, then keeping the grain inside silo foe 10 days at 46℃ will kill the pests. After this, the silo temperature will reduce gradually until it reach same temperature with silo itself, then grain will go into normal sealed storage condition.
In addition, the grain stored equipment, transport device, etc. should be insecticidal in advance.
Sealed storage in low temperature: wheat is capable of high temperature, but continuous storage for a long time at high temperature will lower the quality of wheat. Therefore, the stored wheat can be done natural ventilation or mechanical ventilation after autumn, and be sealed before the spring in order to keep low temperature condition. Low temperature storage is the basic method of long-term and safety wheat storage. Maintain low temperature wheat, to prolong the life of the seed, keep quality has certain advantages.
Wheat can also in freezing conditions, keep good quality, such as dry wheat under the condition of – 5 ℃ low temperature storage, is conducive to enhance vitality. Winter low temperature, therefore, the use of double storehouse, removing impurity, freezing, reducing MaiWen to 0 ℃ or so, and then take advantage of the cold sealing, to eliminate the wintering pests in wheat heap, have better effect. Closed at low temperature can be stored for a long time, but should keep in contact with the hot and humid air, lest cause shock surface condensation.
